Ground Cherries Mid season ½ oz. golden fruits are encased in papery husks that turn brown when ripe and falls to the “ground”.
Litchi Tomato The small edible fruits are red on the outside and yellow inside. They grow inside a spiny green husk. Ripe when they are easily removed from stem. Superb creamy and mild cherry flavour. A very unique fruit. (New)

Cape Gooseberries- Physalis Peruviana a husked fruit related to a ground cherry but the plant is bigger, the fruit is bigger, and it is more tart.. sometimes called a golden berry in the grocery stores.
Tamarillo Dwarf -(Cyphomandra abutiloides) Sweet Tangy fruit, starts green and turns orange. Last year It grew to 5 or 6 feet in a big pot for me.
